Froz opened as a TestFlight beta on 31 January 2026. These two rode it all winter.
I tracked the whole season on it, A-Basin to Copper. Spring laps at Copper in April with the crew, every run named on the summary, and the leaderboard is between friends so it actually means something. It is the only ski app I have kept on my phone.

The Snow Quality Index (SQI) is our 0 to 100 score for ski conditions, built from snowfall, weather, temperature, wind and visibility. It runs across all 2,110 resorts every day, with storm watch and best-day picks for the week ahead.
Yes. Froz is offline-first. The app opens with your mountains, your sessions and your trail map from cache, GPS tracking never depends on the network, and messages and voice memos queue locally and send the moment connectivity returns.
Tracking runs in the background at a sampling rate tuned for a full ski day, and the Ski Battery widget on Home tells you how long your phone will actually last in the cold. A typical day on the hill is fine; keep the phone inside a jacket pocket on the coldest days.
Not unless you choose to. Location tracking is off by default. Sharing your live position is per crew and per session: you start it, you stop it, and only that crew sees it.
