The Snow Quality Index (SQI) is our proprietary 0–100 score for ski conditions, calculated from snowfall (40%), weather (20%), temperature (18%), wind (12%), and visibility (10%). It runs across all 2,000+ resorts every day, with 7-day "best day" recommendations and powder-window alerts. No other app has anything like it.
Yes — Froz is offline-first. GPS tracking continues with dead reckoning when satellite signal drops in trees or ridgelines, and your runs, messages, and voice memos queue locally and sync the second connectivity returns. We built it for the mountain, not the studio.
